Meet Courtney
Certified Life Coach & Recreation Therapist
I am so glad you have arrived here! There are many reasons why a person may seek out life coaching: has the luster in your daily life lost it's sheen? Are you looking for clarity in your life? Finding purpose with life changes? I would love to help you uncover those answers inside yourself.

As a recreation therapist and a life coach I aim to help client's uncover their forgotten and hidden joys. To those moving through life's transitions and navigating the waters that seemed so clear, but now are muddied with the monotony of daily living. Or to discover how to become active or fulfilled again after a life changing event. These things and more a life coach can help you to navigate.

As a Recreation Therapist, I will develop programs and activities that are inline with your needs, desires, and strengths. I pride myself on developing programs that are meaningful and fulfilling. I seek to increase an individual’s hobbies and interests, motivate them to participate in new activities, and continue participation in old favourites.

As a Life Coach, I listen to deepen the conversation, understanding, and bring curiosities forward that aim to bring clarity to the issues that are presented. I follow the lead of the client to help them uncover their own answers deep inside. I challenge the client to see the situation in a new light, help to build goals, create accountability, and focus on overall self-improvement. Life coaching focuses on what is happening currently in your life and helps to move a client forward. Life coaching is not a supplement for counselling.

Now a bit about who I am! I am a wife and mother of two wonderful children. I have two rescue dogs and a rescue bunny, whom I love to train and care for. I have been passionate about providing meaningful recreation and leisure opportunities to individuals for over 15 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University, a diploma of Recreation Therapy from Confederation College. I am a recent graduate from Rhodes Wellness College in their Life Skills Coaching program and I am currently finishing up my Life Coach Diploma.

The Benefit of Having a Coach and Recreation Therapist
"What is the benefit of having a Recreation Therapist as a Life Coach?"
A recreation therapist develops programming based on a thorough assessment of a person. They consider the person's abilities, goals, and areas of their life that need development. They can create programs with strong adaptations and modifications for optimal participation.

"Ok, so why do I need a Life Coach? I don't have any 'issues'."
A Life Coach is not a therapist or a counsellor. They are a professional that can help you to find clarity, ease you through transitions, or just be an ear to listen to you. The can offer reflections or pose questions to allow you to see situations in new light.
